Correlation Between Blood Lead Level and Social Function in Children with Hyperactivity Disorder
Objective To analyze the correlation between blood lead level and social function in children with hyperactivity disorder. Methods 126 children with hyperactivity disorder were selected as the observation group, and 126 children without hyperactivity disorder were selected as the control group. The blood lead level and social function were compared between the two groups. The blood lead levels of children with different subtypes of hyperactivity disorder were compared, and the correlation between blood lead level and social function of children with hyperactivity disorder was analyzed. Results The blood lead level of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the scores of each dimension and total score of WFIRS-P were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the blood lead level was positively correlated with learning and school, life skills, and social activities in children with hyperactivity disorder(P<0.05).Conclusions Children with hyperactivity disorder have high blood lead level, and blood lead level is correlated with some social functions.Clinical attention should be paid to the impact of lead exposure on children's social function.
