Impact of Microscopic Total Resection in the Treatment of Glioma on VEGF and β-EP in Patients
Objective To explore the effect of microscopic total resection in the treatment of glioma patients and the impact on vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),β-endorphin(β-EP)levels,cognitive function, and quality of life. Methods 62 glioma patients admitted to our hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected and divided into two groups, with 31 cases in each group. The control group received traditional craniotomy, while the observation group received microscopic total resection. The VEGF and β-EP levels, cognitive function, and short-term prognosis quality were compared between the two groups. Results After surgery, the VEGF level of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and theβ-EP level was higher than of the control group(P<0.05).After surgery, the MMSE score and prognosis quality ADL score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Microscopic total resection in the treatment of glioma can improve patients'cognitive level, the expressions of VEGF andβ-EP,and short-term prognosis quality.
