Predictive Value of CRP/ALB Ratio for the Occurrence of Postoperative Urinary Sepsis in Patients with Upper Ureteral Calculi
Objective To analyze the predictive value of C-reactive protein/albumin(CRP/ALB)ratio for the occurrence of postoperative urinary sepsis in patients with upper ureteral calculi. Methods 72 patients with upper ureteral calculi undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy from October 2020 to October 2022 were selected, the serum CRP and ALB levels were detected at 2 hours after operation, and the CRP/ALB ratio was calculated. The incidence of urinary sepsis within 1 week after operation was counted, the serum CRP,ALB and CRP/ALB ratio were compared between the occurrence group and non-occurrence group.ROC curve was drawn to analyze the predictive value of CRP,ALB levels and CRP/ALB ratio for the occurrence of postoperative urinary sepsis in patients with upper ureteral calculi. Results There were 7 cases of urinary sepsis in 72 patients with upper ureteral calculi after operation, accounting for 9.72%.The serum CRP level and CRP/ALB ratio in the occurrence group were higher than those in the non-occurrence group, and the serum ALB level was lower than that in the non-occurrence group(P<0.05).ROC curve showed that the AUC of CRP/ALB ratio in predicting the occurrence of postoperative urinary sepsis in patients with upper ureteral calculi was 0.803,higher than the prediction of single detection of CRP and ALB.Conclusions CRP/ALB ratio has high predictive value for the occurrence of postoperative urogenic sepsis in patients with upper ureteral calculi, which is worthy of clinical reference and application.
