Effect of Glucocorticoid-Assisted Gamma Globulin in the Treatment of Children with Infectious Mononucleosis
Objective To analyze the effect of glucocorticoid-assisted gamma globulin in the treatment of children with infectious mononucleosis(IM).Methods 84 IM children admitted to our hospital from March 2019 to June 2023 were selected and randomly divided into combined group and control group, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with gamma globulin, and the combined group was treated with glucocorticoid-assisted gamma globulin. The T lymphocyte subpopulation, symptom improvement and efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the CD4+and CD4+/CD8+of the combined group were higher than those of the control group, and the CD8+was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the fever relief time, tonsillitis resolution time, hepatosplenomegaly resolution time, and lymph node reduction time of the combined group were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the combined group was 92.86%,significantly higher than 76.19%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Glucocorticoid-assisted gamma globulin has exact effect in the treatment of IM children, which can promote the symptom relief of fever and hepatosplenomegaly and improve their immunity.
