Diagnostic Value of Combined Detection of Serum Cystatin C and Serum Amyloid A for Early Diabetic Retinopathy
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of combined detection of serum Cystatin C(CysC)and serum amyloid A(SAA)for early diabetic retinopathy(DR).Methods 120 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)admitted to our hospital from August 2021 to June 2023 were selected and divided into NDR group(T2DM without DR,40 cases),background group(T2DM with DR background,40 cases)and proliferation group(T2DM with DR proliferation,40 cases)according to the degree of fundus lesions. The serum CysC and SAA levels among the three groups were compared, and the diagnostic efficacy of single and combined detection of serum CysC and SAA for early DR was analyzed. Results Statistical difference was found in the serum CysC and SAA levels among the three groups:the proliferation group>the background group>the NDR group(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve results showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of combined detection of serum CysC and SAA in the diagnosis of early DR was 0.713,higher than the individual diagnosis of each indicator(P<0.05).Conclusions The combined detection of serum CysC and SAA has higher diagnostic value for early DR,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
