Comparison on the Effects of Mini-Titanium Plate and Suture Screw Applied in Posterior Cervical Single-Open-Door Surgery in the Treatment of Multi-Segmental Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy
Objective To compare the application effects of mini-titanium plate fixation and suture screw fixation in patients with multi-segmental cervical spondylotic myelopathy. Methods 82 patients with multi-segmental cervical spondylotic myelopathy who underwent posterior cervical single-open-door surgery were randomly divided into two groups. The suture screw group received suture screw for suspension fixation, and the mini-titanium plate group received mini-titanium plate for fixation. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results No significant difference was found in the intraoperative blood loss amount, operation time and postoperative hospitalization time between the two groups(P>0.05).After surgery, the VAS score and the incidence of cervical axial symptoms in the mini-titanium plate group were lower than those in the suture screw group, and the cervical curvature index was higher than that in the suture screw group(P<0.05).Conclusions Mini-titanium plate fixation can relieve postoperative pain in patients with multi-segmental cervical spondylotic myelopathy, and reduce the loss of cervical curvature and the occurrence of cervical axial symptoms.
