Comparison on the Effects of Two Surgical Methods in the Treatment of Thyroid Nodules
Objective To compare the clinical effects of thyroid lobectomy and subtotal thyroidectomy in the treatment of thyroid nodules. Methods A total of 94 patients with thyroid nodules were divided into two groups according to different surgical methods, with 47 cases in each group. The reference group was treated with subtotal thyroidectomy, and the study group was treated with thyroid lobectomy. The surgery-related indicators, thyroid hormone levels and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time and hospitalization time of the study group were shorter than those of the reference group, the intraoperative blood loss amount was less than that of the reference group, and the total incidence of complications was lower than that of the reference group(P<0.05).At 3 days after surgery, the levels of serum FT3 and FT4 in the two groups were lower than those before surgery, but the levels of serum FT3 and FT4 of the study group were higher than those of the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusions Compared with subtotal thyroidectomy, thyroid lobectomy in the treatment of thyroid nodules has smaller trauma and less impact on thyroid function of patients.
