Impact of Bracketless Invisible Appliance on Periodontal Index and Masticatory Function of Patients with Malocclusion
Objective To analyze the impact of bracketless invisible appliance on periodontal index and masticatory function of patients with malocclusion. Methods 80 patients with malocclusion admitted to our hospital from March 2020 to March 2023 were selected and randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with traditional fixed appliance, and the observation group was treated with bracketless invisible appliance. The periodontal index, masticatory function and complications were compared between the two groups. Results After 6 months of treatment, the GI,SBI,SPD and PLI in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the masticatory function level was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was 2.50%,significantly lower than 20.00%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Compared with traditional fixed appliance treatment, bracketless invisible appliance treatment has less impact on periodontal index of patients with malocclusion, and can more significantly improve the masticatory function of patients and reduce the occurrence of complications.
