Comparison on the Effects of Nucleus Pulposus Removal Transpedicular Dynamic Stabilization and Simple Nucleus Pulposus Removal in the Treatment of Single-Segment Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective To compare the clinical effects of nucleus pulposus removal transpedicular dynamic stabilization and simple nucleus pulposus removal in the treatment of patients with single-segment lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods The clinical data of 62 patients with single-segment LDH admitted to our hospital from July 2020 to July 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. All cases were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods. The reference group was treated with nucleus pulposus removal, and the study group was treated with nucleus pulposus removal transpedicular dynamic stabilization. The pain degree, lumbar function, complications and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results At 1 month after surgery, the VAS scores of waist and leg,and the ODI score in the study group were significantly lower than those in the reference group(P<0.05).No significant difference was found in the incidence of postoperative complications and recurrence rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Compared with simple nucleus pulposus removal, nucleus pulposus removal transpedicular dynamic stabilization can significantly reduce the pain degree of waist and leg of patients with single-segment LDH,and improve their lumbar function, without significant increase of occurrence risk of postoperative complications and risk of recent recurrence.
