Impact of Early Enteral Nutrition Support on Cardiac Function and Nutritional Status of Elderly Patients with Heart Failure Complicated with Malnutrition
Objective To explore the impact of early enteral nutrition(EEN)support on cardiac function and nutritional status of elderly patients with heart failure(HF)complicated with malnutrition. Methods 120 elderly patients with HF complicated with malnutrition were randomly divided into two groups. The reference group was given routine treatment, and the study group was given EEN support treatment on the basis of the reference group. The cardiac function indicators and nutritional indicators of the two groups were compared. Results After 1 month of treatment, the LVEF,and the levels of albumin, total protein and prealbumin in the study group were higher than those in the reference group, and the level of NT-proBNP was lower than that in the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusions EEN support can obviously improve the cardiac function and nutritional status of elderly patients with HF complicated with malnutrition.
