Size optimization design of B-type sleeve for defect repair of X80 steel grade oil and gas pipeline
For the problems such as different requirements of domestic and foreign standards for the length, thickness, installation clearance and other parameters of B-type sleeve, and the lack of corresponding theoretical basis and experimental data on design size of B-type sleeve lacks, the simulation software was used to change the parameters of the B-type sleeve and compare and analyze the stress distribution after the installation of the sleeve under different parameters. It is found that when the length of the B-type sleeve changes in the range of 200~800 mm,the stress level on the fillet weld increases with the increase of the length of the sleeve, and the rising trend is obvious when it is greater than 600 mm.Considering the internal pressure and axial load of the sleeve in the geologically unstable area, when the thickness of the sleeve changes in the range of 17~21 mm,the stress at the fillet weld remains at a relatively low level;the installation gap of the sleeve has little effect on the stress at the fillet weld, but the axial strain at the fillet weld increases with the increase of the installation gap of the sleeve.According to the analysis results, the sleeve was trial-produced for internal pressure cycle test and bending test.No stress concentration and weld delay cracks were found in the B-type sleeve after installation, and the repair effect on pipeline penetrating defects was good.
