Application of AC electromagnetic field stress measurement method in the stress detection of pipelines
In order to solve the problem of internal detection in the stress concentration area of pipeline body, the COMSOL Multiphysics finite element simulation was utilized to establish a two-dimensional simulation model of the electromagnetic field in oil pipelines based on AC electromagnetic field stress measurement(ACSM).The analysis focused on distribution law on the pipeline surface and investigated the impact of ACSM stress measurement sensor structure and process parameters on measurement results.A stress measuring sensor based on ACSM method was developed, along with the design and development of an internal stress detection system for pipelines.Subsequently, static load tensile stress measurement test and field pull test were conducted. It is found that the simulation results are consistent with actual measurements obtained from the stress measuring sensor.Within the elastic limit of the tested part, there is a tendency of proportional increase in sensor measurement amplitude as the applied stress increases. There is a good mapping relationship between the sensor amplitude and the applied stress in the field tensile test. When 105 MPa stress is applied to the pipeline under test, the difference voltage amplitude of the sensor can reach 259 mV.The whole system works well in the stress measurement test and can effectively identify the stress concentration area.
