Research Progress in Imaging Technology on Preoperative Evaluation of Circumferential Resection Margin in Rectal Cancer
Rectal cancer is a high incidence cancer in the world, and its morbidity and mortality are high in all cancers. At present, the treatment of rectal cancer is mainly surgical resection or surgical resection after neoadjuvant treatment. However, different treatment methods may lead to high recurrence rate and poor prognosis due to different anatomical locations of rectal cancer. Therefore, accurate preoperative evaluation is particularly important for determining the treatment mode.Circumferential resection margin(CRM)of rectal cancer is a key factor for preoperative evaluation. This paper comprehensively analyzed the imaging examination methods such as intrarectal ultrasound,CT,MRI,and introduced the application progress of these examination methods and their new technologies and methods to evaluate the CRM of rectal cancer, aims to provide a basis for selecting appropriate treatment methods in clinical practice.
