Study on the Influence of Quality Control Circle Activity on the Reported Loss Rate of Endoscopic Surgery Instruments
Objective To explore the effect of different ways of quality control circle on the reported loss rate of endoscopic surgery instruments.Methods A multi-department jointed quality control activity group was set up,with the objective of"reducing the reported loss rate of endoscopic surgery instruments".A total of 3520 endoscopic surgery instruments was selected from August to October 2022,the reported loss rate of which was 2.33%.Taking the type of damage as the research object,the status quo of missing instrument parts and confusing inner core,outer sheath and handle was analyzed,and countermeasures were formulated.The Fool-Smart method was applied to improve training program."Four-Point"maintenance process method of endoscopic surgical instruments was created and detailed inspection list was revised as well as other measures.A total of 5213 endoscopic surgery instruments from November 2022 to February 2023 after improvement were selected as the research objects,and its reported loss rate was studied to analyze the effect of the improvement measures.Results The reported loss rate of 5213 endoscopic surgery instruments after improvement decreased to 0.27%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The target achievement rate was 137.33%.The two groups of data of 8 types of problems in the processing process were compared,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).After the implementation of the quality control activity,the quality control activity techniques,teamwork ability,communication ability,responsibility,professional ability and problem-solving ability of the circle members have been improved to a certain extent.Conclusion While reducing the reported loss rate of endoscopic surgery instruments through quality control activity,scientific application of management tools and multi-department cooperation to standardize the workflow and develop the scoring standard of device loss report can help to implement the self-review and supervision mode,which will ensure the safe use of medical devices and worthy of application and promotion.
