Development and Evaluation of Medical Digital Vascular Phantom
Objective In order to meet the needs of design verification and evaluation of medical imaging software,to solve the problems such as lack of verification data and inconsistent evaluation standards encountered in the process of technical review and inspection. Methods Medical digital vascular phantom were developed based on vascular anatomical features.By using GATE tool,CT imaging was simulated, projected images were reconstructed, and digital imaging and communications in medicine(DICOM)images were obtained after reconstructing the projection images. Results The comparison results between CT simulation and real machine images showed that under 80 kV conditions, the peak signal to noise ratio and structural similarity values were 30.14 dB and 0.80,respectively,there was no significant difference in the distribution of CT values between the two groups(P>0.05).There was a good similarity between CT values and cross-sectional area values. Conclusion The experimental results show that digital vascular phantom imaging data obtained from simulated CT imaging can hopefully be a new evaluation tool of medical imaging software products, which is meaningful for improving the objectiveness and accuracy of product evaluation.
