Application Value of Revolution CT 70 kVp Low-Tube Voltage Combined with Isotonic Iodine Contrast Agent in "One-Stop" CTA of Head,Neck and Heart
Objective To explore the application value of Revolution CT 70 kVp low-tube voltage combined with isotonic iodine contrast agent(iodixanol 320 mgI/mL)in"one-stop"computed tomography angiography(CTA)of head, neck and heart. Methods A total of 50 patients who underwent"one-stop"CTA of head, neck and heart in our hospital from August 2022 to April 2023 were prospectively collected and divided into group A and group B according to random number table, with 25 patients in each group. In group A,the tube voltage was 70 kVp,and iodixanol was 320 mgI/mL;in group B,the tube voltage was 100 kVp,iomeprol was 400 mgI/mL,and the comparator dose was calculated as 0.7 mL/kg.The objective and subjective scoring indexes of image quality as well as the radiation dose and iodine intake were compared between the two groups. Results The average CT and SD values of coronary artery trunk and its branches and head and neck arteries in group A were higher than those in group B,and the differences was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no statistically significant difference in the signal to noise ratio and contrast to noise ratio between group A and group B(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the image quality of coronary artery CTA and head and neck CTA between group A and group B(P>0.05).The subjective scores of both physicians for image quality of coronary artery and head and neck vessels were consistent(0.839,0.719 and 0.762,0.749,respectively).Compared with group B,the effective dose(ED)of coronary CTA in group A was reduced by 68.68%,and the ED of CTA in head and neck in group A was reduced by 65.75%,and the iodine intake of the patients in group A was reduced by 21.23%(all P<0.001).Conclusion Revolution CT 70 kVp low-tube voltage combined with isotonic iodine contrast agent has a good application value in the"one-stop"CTA of head, neck and heart of middle-aged and elderly patients, which can obviously reduce the radiation dose and iodine intake.
