Design and Application of a Mini-Program of Speech Interaction Intelligent Cognitive Screening
Objective To research and develop an intelligent speech interaction cognitive screening tool for screening mild cognitive impairment in Chinese older adults. Methods By using WeChat developer tools, speech recognition technology and machine learning model,an intelligent Shanghai Cognitive Screening(SCS)tool for speech interaction was developed.Participants aged 50 to 80 years were recruited and evaluated using the SCS mini-program and Montreal Cognitive Assessment basic(MoCA-B)to preliminatively verify the accuracy of the SCS mini-program cognitive assessment. Results The SCS allowed users to independently perform cognitive tasks such as naming, immediate and delayed memory, and symbol digit modalities test, etc.Combined with answer performance and digital biomarkers of speech, cognitive functions such as memory, attention and language were evaluated, and assessment reports were generated immediately. The whole process was only 7 min.The average SCS score of 207 participants was(86.8±15.53)scores,which had a good correlation with MoCA-B(Pearson's r=0.615,P<0.001).Conclusion The SCS mini-program is suitable for assessing cognitive function in Chinese older adults, and is more efficient and convenient than traditional tools. It is worth promoting for community screening, remote assessment, and home self-testing.
