Research on Quality Control Circle in Improving the Application Effect of Shared Ventilator Filters
Objective To improve the correct usage rate of shared ventilator filters and enhance the application effect of filters by conducting quality control circle(QCC)activities.Methods A total of 239 ventilators inspected by the medical equipment emergency management center of our hospital from January to March 2022 were set as the control group,while the 210 ventilators inspected after the implementation of QCC activities from April to June 2022 were set as the observation group.Utilizing QCC management tools such as Pareto charts and fishbone diagram,analyze and explore the causes of incorrect usage of ventilator filters and improvement measures.Through the implementation of QCC management steps,the changes in various indicators before and after the implementation of QCC activities were compared,and the application effectiveness of shared ventilator filters after the conduct of QCC activities was analyzed.Results Through the implementation of QCC activities,the correct usage rate of filters in the observation group(97.6%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(92.1%),and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.009);the theoretical and operational scores of medical personnel and clinical staff were significantly improved(P<0.05);the number of ventilator failures decreased significantly(P=0.035);the application effect of ventilator filter was improved,under the condition of same patient and identical ventilator parameters settings,the peak airway pressure and platform pressure significantly decreased.The heart rate,mean arterial pressure,and respiratory rate all showed significant reductions compared to before the improvement.Additionally,there was a noticeable increase in pulse oxygen saturation(P<0.001);the patient's comfort level was significantly improved(P=0.025).Conclusion The application of QCC management tools can significantly improve the correct utilization rate of shared ventilator filters and enhance their application effectiveness.It has played a positive role in the fine management of ventilator filters.
