Design and Application of 3D Printing of Personalized Acetabular Remodeling Prosthesis
Objective To design and manufacture personalized acetabular prostheses and explore the significance of this technology in clinical application using digital reconstruction and 3D printing technology to meet the clinical demands for treating specific bone defects. Methods Mimics and 3-matic software were utilized for digital reconstruction and prosthesis design.Based on patient CT data, the data was processed and reconstructed to design personalized acetabular prostheses.Combining the types of acetabular defects and bone reconstruction requirement,3D printing technology was used to transform the designed prosthesis into a solid model and conduct subsequent processing. Results The prosthesis was successfully installed and assembled, and the matching degree of prosthesis during the operation met the requirements of preoperative planning, and the unfilled part of the bottom of the acetabulum was restored by bone grafting and played a supporting effect.Once the acetabular remodeling prosthesis was implanted in the preset position, and the acetabular abduction and forward inclination angle met the requirements of preoperative design.X-rays taken one week after surgery determined that the implant was in good position. Conclusion The application of personalized prostheses provides a new approach in clinical medicine that can meet the treatment needs of patients with specific bone defects, and is of great significance for improving medical practice and promoting the development of medical technology.
