Application Analysis of the UDI Intelligent Traceability Management for High Value Medical Consumables
Objective To solve the difficulty of covering the unique device identification(UDI)coded varieties of medical devices,realize the closed-loop management of the whole process of high-value consumables,trace the source of consumables,and strengthen the quality management.Methods Through the integration and docking of SPD platform coding system and UDI coding,the"three-code integration"of UDI coding,SPD coding and consumables original code was realized,and the UDI coding of billable consumables was matched with the billing code of hospital information system,so as to realize the traceability management of the whole process based on UDI coding during the in-hospital circulation of consumables,such as warehousing,storage,distribution and billing.Results After the application of UDI coding,consumables traceability was faster and more accurate,the time for staff to manage all aspects of medical consumables(application,receipt,inventory,billing)was significantly shortened,and the billing error rate of high-value implantable medical consumables was significantly reduced,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion In the process of the gradual promotion of UDI coding,the current coding link is gradually replaced,and the whole process is finally traceable,and the management time is significantly shortened,and the billing accuracy is significantly improved,which can provide data support for the scientific development of consumables collection work,the real rational use evaluation of consumables and the unified management of DRGs single disease billing.
