Exploration on Lucy's Self-awakening in"A Room with A View"——Based on the Perspective of Eco-feminism
Edward Morgan Forster focuses on the harmonious coexistence between humans,humans and nature,humans and society,and regards nature as a spiritual sanctuary for humanity.From the perspective of eco-feminism,this paper interprets"A Room with a View"to reveal social issues such as gender discrimination,class oppression,ecological and human spiritual crisis in the Edwardian era.It also analyzes how the protagonist Lucy broke through the oppression of patriarchy,broke the constraints of social customs,and ultimately achieved self-awakening and freedom.
