"Putting the people first"is an important value concept of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.It has four basic connotations,i.e.political stance,subject position,struggle objective,and evaluation criteria.The nature and purpose of the CPC determine the consistent politi-cal stance of putting the people first,which is integrated into Xi Jinping thought with self-revolution view.As for subject position,the value idea fully respects the people's subject status,ensuring that all development is for the people and dependent on the people.Regarding the struggle goal,the concept continuously satisfies the diverse needs of the people in terms of material,political participation,spiritual qualities,social development and ecological civilization.As for evaluation criteria,it requires the Party to establish a correct view of achievements,adhere to the new era's people-oriented perspective and employ methods for mass work.
