The year of 2020 saw China successfully achieve the goals of poverty alleviation in the new era and the poverty alleviation through health played a crucial role.After 2020,the focus of poverty alleviation in Chi-na shifted to the governance of relative poverty,giving new meaning to the relationship between health and rel-ative poverty.As the main battlefield for rural revitalization,it is urgent to establish a long-term mechanism to mitigate relative poverty through health in rural areas.Theoretically,health provides external conditions for poverty alleviation,stimulates the potentials for wealth creation internally,and combines external forces with internal forces to form a joint force,helping the relatively poor population improve health and income,meet higher-level development needs to get rid of relative poverty.However,in practical terms,rural residents in relative poverty still lack sufficient endogenous motivation for poverty alleviation,and the relative scarcity of health resources at the grassroots level may continue for a long period.In response,in the post-poverty allevi-ation era,actions should be taken,such as improving top-level design,strengthening the construction of grassroots medical services,developing the health industry,enhancing education and training,and paying attention to mental health construction to stimulate the motivation of health to mitigate relative poverty,as is of great significance for the realization of rural revitalization and the Health China strategy.
