The current publicity about the new connotation of the Yimeng spirit is empty and routinized.The main reason lies in the lack of in-depth revivification of the then social context and vivid analysis of blending reason and emotion.Introducing social memory theory into the research of the Yimeng spirit and decoding its basic connotation based on the rooted theory as well is an effective way to enhance the interpretation research of the spirit.In the new era,using social memory and continuing to give full play to the joint of the Party,gov-ernment,military and civilians,putting the basic connotation into practical and value forms,and continuously strengthening the dissemination subjects are still what we need to explore.
