18世纪以来,英国小说与现代性紧密相连,经历了现代主义的形式实验和后现代时期的创新.福尔斯、伯吉斯、石黑一雄等作家的作品展示了实验性和先锋性,同时也反映了对重大问题的思考.莱辛的《金色笔记》则探讨了现实与虚构、艺术与真实的关系.这些小说不仅丰富了小说的内涵,也改变了人类的小说观和创作实践.张和龙的《从后现代到"后后现代"——当代英国小说诠论》一书对英国小说中的现代性做了系统的研究,本文即对此书的评论.
Abstract
This article takes Zhang Helong's Contemporary British Fiction:From the Postmodern to"the Post-Postmodern"as the research object,and explores the impact of modernity on British fiction.Since the 18th century,British fiction has been closely linked to modernity,experiencing the formal experiments of modernism and the innovations of the postmodern period.The works of writers such as Fowles,Burgess,and Ishiguro demonstrate experimental and pioneering qualities,while also reflecting on major issues.Lessing's exploration of the relationship between reality and fiction,art,and reality in her Golden Notebook is also discussed.These novels have not only enhanced the significance and value of the novel genre,but have also changed human beings'view of the novel and creative literary practice.
