The Development and Characteristics of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Chinese Universities Since the Founding of the People's Republic of China:An Analysis Based on the Documents from Central Ministries and Commissions
Since the founding of the People's Republic of China(PRC),a total of 126 documents related to ideological and political theory courses in universities have been issued by central ministries and commissions,covering all aspects of the courses.In terms of the number of documents issued,there was a relatively small volume before the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.After this session,as international and domestic situations became increasingly complex,the volume of documents issued gradually increased.According to the content of the documents and their practical application in the teaching of ideological and political theory courses,the reform,innovation and subject construction of the courses in Chinese universities have gone through four stages since the founding of the PRC:the stage of revolutionary political theory courses dominated by revolutionary thinking,the stage of Marxist-Leninist theory courses at the beginning of the reform and opening up,the stage of the creation and development of the"Two Courses"system,and the stage of the reform and construction of ideological and political theory courses in universities under the"Marxist Project".
