THE TRANSFORMATION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF MEANING IN URBAN MARGINAL TRADITIONAL MARKETS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF LOCAL IDENTITY
Taking Longjie bazaar in Chenggong as an example,Based on a questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews about the attachment to the place and the identity of the place with the residents living in and around Longjie,and the 100 questionnaires that were collected were analysed quantitatively using the statistical analysis software SPSS 26.0.The results show that:(1)The relationship between place attachment and place identity in Longjie is significant and positive,the higher the degree of place attachment,the higher the degree of place iden-tity.(2)The age element,time away from home and monthly income status have a significant impact on residents'place identity,and all three elements together point to residents'need for healing.(3)The functional reconstruction of Longjie is manifested in the gradual decline of the economic function while the cultural function increases,because it meets the needs of city dwellers for healing from within,it will be able to grow with the process of urbanisation.The study has certain practical implications for urbanization and urban-rural integration,for the benefit of the three rural areas and for rural revitalization.
