ANALYSIS OF TOPONYMIC CULTURAL LANDSCAPE BASED ON GIS IN XIAOYI CITY
Taking 305 geographical names in Xiaoyi City as the research object,methods of mathematical statis-tics were used to classify and count these names,and the kernel density maps and digital elevation data maps formed were superimposed and analysed as a means of providing intuitive spatial distribution of toponymic cultural landscapes.The results of the study show that the natural landscape names of Xiaoyi City are mainly distributed in the mountainous and hilly areas in the central and western parts of the city,and the hydrological and topographical factors have the most significant influence on the formation of the names;while the names in the northeastern ur-ban areas are mainly affected by factors such as traffic and economy,and Cultural landscapes with humanistic top-onyms also show a tendency to be concentrated.Natural of toponymic cultural landscape and Cultural landscapes with humanistic toponyms together constitute a rich cultural landscape of geographical names in Xiaoyi City,in which Cultural landscapes with humanistic toponyms accounts for more,which indicates that local geographical names are more significantly influenced by humanistic factors.
