Energy Storage Planning Method Based on Frequency Modulation Reserve Capacity Constraints
Building a new type of power system is an important task in constructing a new energy system. However, the large-scale integration of new energy sources into the grid will lead to a decline in the power system's frequency response capability and a lack of flexible resources.New types of energy storage, mainly electrochemical,as high-quality flexible regulation resources, are expected to play an important role in the dynamic frequency support of power systems. This paper, starting from the perspective of power system reserve capacity management and the actual grid's primary frequency control demand, proposes an energy storage planning method based on frequency modulation reserve capacity constraints, and verifies it through case studies, which can serve as a reference for provincial-level energy storage planning.
