Development of a Clamp for Replacing LF Type Tension Double String Insulators With Electricity
In recent years,with the increasing number of transmission lines and the fact that the operating lines are located in mountainous and thunderstorm prone areas,most of the insulators used are glass and porcelain insulators,resulting in relatively high lightning strike and self explosion rates.Considering the reliability of power supply and the safe operation of the power grid,it is necessary to carry out live replacement of tension resistant double insulator strings.However,due to manufacturing processes,manufacturers,construction quality,and other reasons,there are many non-standard size fittings installed on the circuit,resulting in different types of connecting plates that match them.At present,conventional live clamps are only suitable for most connecting plates,and some tension resistant double string insulator strings cannot be replaced with live wires due to different connecting plates,which poses disadvantages such as high physical consumption,low work efficiency,and high operational risks for operators,thereby affecting the efficiency and reliability of live maintenance of transmission lines.This article mainly elaborates on the universal fixtures and operation methods for replacing double string tension insulators with live electricity,which is conducive to convenient,efficient,and safe replacement of tension double string insulators and single piece insulators with live electricity.
