CHARACTERISTICS OF THE XUJIE GRAPHITE ORE BODY AND REGIONAL EXPLORATION IN CENTRAL YUNNAN
The ore body of Xujie crystalline graphite deposit in Mouding,Yunnan Province is located in the Early Proterozoic Pudeng rock group, which has undergone metamorphic deformation in the late Paleoproterozoic and late Qingbaikou period. Two fine crystal-microcrystalline graphite ore bodies and fine-grained to coarse powder crystal graphite ore bodies with industrial significance are delineated in the area. The ores are graphite muscovite schist type and graphite muscovite quartz schist type, with an average grade of 4.68%for industrial ore. This deposit is a regional(sedimentary)muscovite schist-muscovite quartz schist combination metamorphic deposit. The research results of this study have obvious significance for the genesis analysis and geological exploration of the Xujie graphite deposit,as well as the regional prospecting in central Yunnan.
