DETERMINATION OF GOLD IN COPPER MATTE BY FIRE ASSAY ENRICHMENT-ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY
In this paper, three matte samples from a copper smelter in Yunnan Tin company were determined. The matte samples were pretreated with sulfuric acid, and most of the copper in the samples was removed by filtration. The remaining residue was ashed and enriched by fire assay to obtain gold and silver particles. The silver particles were dissolved with dilute nitric acid, and the remaining gold particles were dissolved with aqua regia. The content of gold was determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometer at 242.8 nm.Compared with the results of the industry standard(YS/T 990.2-2014),one of the results was below the detection limit of the industry standard, and the other two results were basically consistent. The results showed that the relative standard deviation(RSD,n=6)was between 0.54%and 1.13%,and the recovery rate was between 96.0%and 104%.
