THE APPLICATION OF ORDERED CLUSTER ANALYSIS IN THE DECOMPOSITION OF THE TANGCHI FORMATION OF LOWER ORDOVICIAN IN YUNNAN
Ordered clustering analysis is an effective supplementary and auxiliary research method for macroscopic rock stratigraphic division in the field.Based on the rock spectral analysis data obtained from the regional geological survey, the chemical stratigraphic division of the strata, which was previously divided into the Lower Ordovician Tangchi Formation,in the Caofang area of Xundian,Yunnan, was applied by using the sequential sample multivariable optimal segmentation method. The obtained geochemical interface is highly consistent with the field rock stratigraphic division interface, and the strata is decomposed into seven formations from the Xiwangmiao Formation of the Cambrian Miaoling Series to the Wanshoushan Formation of the Lower Carboniferous.
