GEOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND PROSPECTING DIRECTION OF COPPER-COBALT DEPOSITS IN THE FTB MINING AREA,CONGO(DRC)
The copper-cobalt ore bodies of the FTB mining area in the Democratic Republic of Congo are lenticular and veined, and are hosted in the Kuangshan formation of Luan Group. The ore-bearing strata of the Enguba Group in the Kamoa-Kakula copper deposit are widely exposed in the area, and the control of strata and structures on mineralization is obvious. On the basis of reorganizing the geological characteristics, controlling factors, and geochemical anomalies of the deposit, combined with the geological characteristics of the Kamoa-Kakula copper deposit, three target areas outcropping conglomerate layer at the bottom of the Enguba Group are selected as the next prospecting direction, achieving breakthroughs in mineral exploration and providing a resource foundation for mining construction and development.
