GEOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND PROSPECTING DIRECTION OF THE JIADI GOLD DEPOSIT IN PANZHOU CITY,GUIZHOU PROVINCE
The Jiadi gold deposit is the newly discovered largestprimary gold deposit in western Guizhou.It is a micro-disseminated gold deposit hosted in basalt.The orebody is hosted in both the upper fractured alteration zone and the lower structural alteration rocks,which are the comprehensive products of regional tectonism and hydrothermal alteration.Based on the summary of the geological characteristics of the Jiadi gold deposit and the enrichment law of the gold ore body in basalt areas,the peripheral prospecting direction is analyzed in this paper,which provide practical guidance for the exploration of basalt-hosted gold deposits in the periphery areas of the region.
