DETERMINATION OF BORON IN ROCKS,STREAM SEDIMENTS AND SOILS BY INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA ATOMIC EMISSION SPECTROMETRY
A method for the determination of boron in rocks, stream sediments, and soils, after dissolved in nitric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid and perchloric acid, using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry(ICP-OES)with B208.893 nm as the analytical spectral line was established. The experimental results indicate that when selecting appropriate analytical spectral lines, the determination will not be disturbed by coexisting elements in the sample. The detection limit of boron is 0.021μg/mL.Six national standard samples of rocks, stream sediments, and soils were determined for five times. The measured values were basically consistent with the certified values, with relative standard deviations in the range of 2.06%-4.23%.
