RESEARCH ON THE DETECTION METHOD OF SOLITARY STONES IN GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING INVESTIGATION
Solitary stones are often exposed in residual soil layers, fully weathered layers, moderately weathered layers, and slightly weathered layers of granite. The unevenness and irregularity of rock fractures lead to uneven weathering of the rock mass, which ultimately forms solitarystones with significant differences in physical and mechanical properties from the surrounding rock and soil under the comprehensive influence of groundwater. This has a significant impact on engineering construction, and requires significant investment to deal with.Detecting the accurate location and spatial distribution of these solitarystoneshas become a necessary task in engineering surveys. In this paper,by comparing multiple techniques and methods,a comprehensive detection method for solitarystones in geotechnical engineering surveys was summarized, which is of great significance for the construction and cost estimation of engineering projects.
