Optimization of Extraction Process of β-ecdysterone from Cyanotis Arachnoidea and Study on its Antioxidant Capacity in Vitro
To investigate the optimal extraction technology of β-ecdysterone from Cyanotis arachnoidea, the effects of extraction method and ex-traction temperature on the content of β-ecdysterone were investigated, the content was detected by HPLC,and the antioxidant capacity of β-ecdysterone obtained by the optimal extraction technology was evaluated by DPPH and ABTS methods. The content of β-ecdysterone in extracts with water as solvent at 60℃,80℃ and 100℃ were investigated by warm soaking extraction and heated reflux extraction, and the best extrac-tion technology was selected to carry out methodological investigation. The antioxidant activity of DPPH and ABTS was determined by free radi-cal scavenging experiments in vitro. The extraction technology study showed that the content of β-ecdysterone was the highest when water was used as the solvent and reflux was heated at 100℃.The methodological results showed that under the liquid phase condition, the samples could be quickly detected with good peak shape and high separation degree. The free radical scavenging experiments showed that the antioxidant activ-ity was concentration-dependent in vitro.
