Electrochemical Properties of Indium Oxide Coated Manganese Dioxide Anode Material
MnO2 was synthesized from MnSO4 and KMnO4,and a coating layer was formed on its surface by adding In(NO3)3·H2O in the reac-tion to form In2O3 material.XRD and SEM characterization showed that the coating layer did not significantly change the crystal structure of MnO2,but improved the particle distribution. The electrochemical properties of the materials before and after coating were studied by charge-discharge test, cyclic voltammetry test and electrochemical impedance test. The results showed that under the test condition of 1 A/g,the specif-ic capacity of the first discharge point of the sample with the coating ratio(Mn/In =1∶0.03)of 206.3 mAh/g,and the capacity retention rate after 100 charge-discharge cycles was 95%.In2O3 coating can effectively improve the cycling performance of cathode materials.
