Awareness and Reflections on"Model Cognition"in Chemistry Teaching
Model cognition is one of the core literacies in the high school chemistry curriculum standards. The current research on models and modeling in the subject area of secondary school chemistry focuses on three aspects:teaching research from the perspective of model cognition, application of modeling teaching in secondary school chemistry, and research on the construction and application of models in secondary school chemistry review courses. The definition of models and the classification of chemistry models can help teachers and students better understand models. The core expression of the definition of model is that a model is a representation of the essence of something for a specific purpose,u-sing simplification, analogy, abstraction and other methods to externalize abstract thinking.Chemical cognitive models and chemical cognitive models work together to guide the learning of chemical subject knowledge.Model-based teaching strategies are one of the important ways to im-plement model cognitive literacy.
