Study on the Influence of Different Carriers and Auxiliaries on the Properties of Iron Oxide Desulfurizer
A comprehensive study was conducted using screening experiments to investigate the effects of carriers, pore forming agents, binders, and strength additives on the strength and desulfurization performance of iron oxide desulfurizers.Research has found that carriers have little effect on desulfurization efficiency, but carriers, air conditioners, binders, and strength additives have a greater impact on the strength and specific surface area of desulfurizers. The sample prepared with 20%diatomaceous earth as the carrier,5%calcium oxide as the binder, and 2%NH4HCO3 as the pore forming agent(without adding strength additives)has the highest desulfurization rate of 74.31%,with a specific surface area of 57.3 m2/g and a strength of 11.7 N/cm.The addition of strength additives Al2O3 and SiO2 can significantly improve the strength and desulfurizationrateof desulfurizers. After adding 11%Al2O3,the strength increases to 46.2 N/cm and the desulfurization rate increases to 79.37%;After adding 13%SiO2,the strength increased to 42.7 N/cm and the desulfurization rate increased to 79.62%.
