Treatment of COD in Wastewater by Catalytic Ozonation with Iron-carrying Activated Alumina
In order to improve the removal efficiency of COD from industrial wastewater by ozonation catalytic oxidation technology, the impregnation method was used to load iron onto the activated alumina. When the concentration of ferric nitrate was 0.8 mol/L and the amount of ozone was 5g/h,the removal efficiency of COD from industrial wastewater was increased, the removal efficiency of COD from industrial wastewater by catalytic ozonation with iron-carrying activated alumina is the highest, with a maximum removal efficiency of about 56%.Compared with adsorption and ozone catalytic oxidation alone,it greatly improves the removal effect of organic pollutants in wastewater. So catalytic ozonation with iron-carrying activated alumina can be an effective method to remove COD from high concentration industrial wastewater.
