Determination of Iodine in Solder Flux by Oxygen Bomb-Combustion Ion Chromatography Method
Oxygen bomb combustion-ion chromatography method was used to determine iodine in soldering flux.Using NaOH-ascorbic acid(AA)composite as the active ingredient in the absorption solution is capable of increasing the absorption rate of iodine by about 90%by oxygen bomb combustion method.Comparing with using only AA as the active ingredient in the absorption solution,it can effectively solve the problem of high baseline and inaccurate identification of iodine in ion chromatography-testing after oxygen bomb combustion. The proposed method possesses ability to efficiently absorb and accurately detect iodine content in tin flux samples within the range of 50-1000 μg of iodine content. The method is safe, environmentally friendly, easy to operate, and can play an important role in the accurate determination of iodine content in flux.
