Study on Skin Care Efficacy of Hydroxy Acids and Collagen Type Ⅲ
The purpose of this study was to investigate and verify the effects of HAs & recombinant collagen type Ⅲ on skin's water content and moisture barrier.A total of 12 volunteers were selected,and the changes in their skin moisture content and transepidermal water loss(TEWL)after using masks containing HAs and essences containing collagen type Ⅲ were measured using Multi Probe Adapter.The results show that mul-tiple-acid products are able to accelerate skin hydration and barrier repair,which is related to the type of acid.Meanwhile,it is indicated that type Ⅲ collagen has a significant effect on promoting the increase of skin water content as well as the reduction of TEWL under the condition of applying HAs in advance.In addition,it has been proven that the synergistic combination of salicylic acid and type Ⅲ collagen can not only fur-ther strengthen the skin barrier but also increase skin water content to a great extent.
