Research on the Optimal Experimental Conditions of Reynolds Experiment and Device Modification
Reynolds demonstration experiment corresponds to the fluid flow and transportation section of"Basic Experiments in Chemical Engi-neering".This experiment allows students to intuitively observe and understand the three flow patterns of water.By controlling the flow of water in the water tank,recording the water temperature,water flow,and tracer type under different experimental conditions,the corresponding Reyn-olds number is calculated.Compare the Reynolds numbers corresponding to laminar flow and turbulent flow in each group of experiments to ex-plore the optimal experimental conditions.The water tank of the experimental device was improved and the water inflow was controlled by adding a float valve,which reduced the time waiting for the water surface to stabilize,saved water resources,and improved the experimental efficiency when the number of experimental benches was insufficient.
