Advances in the Synthesis of 2,3,4,5-tetrafluorobenzoic Acid
2,3,4,5-Tetrafluorobenzoic acid(TFBA)is an important pharmaceutical intermediate,widely used as a raw material for the syn-thesis of pharmaceuticals and pesticides,and the study of the synthetic method of TFBA is of great practical significance.This paper reviews the research progress of TFBA synthesis methods(phthalonitrile method,tetrafluorobenzene method,tetrafluorophthalic acid method,pentafluoro-benzoic acid method and phthalic anhydride method,etc.),and analyses and compares the advantages and disadvantages of each method.Meanwhile,it also sums up and looks forward to the synthetic method of TFBA,which can provide certain theoretical basis for the industrial pro-duction and application of TFBA.
