Study on the Contribution of Polysaccharide Components of Phlebopus portentosus to Its Antioxidant Capacity
The polysaccharides extracted from Phlebopus portentosuscan be used for beauty, medical treatment, health care, etc. After drying, the Phlebopus portentosus was degreased, and the crude polysaccharides in the Phlebopus portentosus were extracted by ultrasonic assisted extrac-tion,traditional hot water extraction, and strong alkali extraction, and graded. After decolorizing the crude polysaccharides, the polysaccharide content, purity, and monosaccharide composition were tested; Then, the polysaccharide structure was analyzed using methods such as ultravio-let,infrared,and three-dimensional spiral structure analysis; Finally, the potassium ferrocyanide colorimetric method and salicylic acid colori-metric method were used to determine the reducing power of polysaccharides and five monosaccharide standard samples towards Fe3+and the clearance rate towards hydroxyl radicals. The results showed that the crude polysaccharide content and monosaccharide types extracted by the three-step classification were different, but the purity was high and they all had the structural characteristics of polysaccharides; Both have good antioxidant properties, and the reducing power of Fe3+is mainly contributed by its components, mannose and galactose, but the contribution of polysaccharides to the scavenging ability of oxygen free radicals is not significant.
