New Urban Construction and Chinese-style Urban Modernization
The new urban construction is the planning and conception for future urban development under the new national urbanization strategy,and strengthening the new urban construction is an important task for realizing the modernization of Chinese cities.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the new urban construction policies have gone through different stages such as"layout planning","comprehensive implementation"and"iterative upgrading",whose important progress relies on continuous break-throughs and improvement in practice.From an objective point of view,the current urban construction in China is still faced with the following problems:its urban livability is not high,its urban resilience is not strong enough,its urban smartness is inadequate,its ur-ban innovation is not satisfactory,its urban ecology is not good,and its urban humanities are dissatisfactory.On the new journey,the continuous promotion of the new urban construction relies on the following:it is necessary to follow the people-oriented approach,support the modernization of those cities with a huge population,pay more attention to dynamic changes,consolidate the urban modern-ization for the shared prosperity for all the people,pay more attention to real qualities,promote the urban modernization on the basis of the coordination of urban material civilization and spiritual civilization,attach more importance to green development,promote the ur-ban modernization with the harmonious coexistence between man and nature,and pay more attention to development models for guiding the peaceful development of urban modernization.
