This research focused on the chemical constituents of Aralia chinensis L.The compounds were separated and purified by the column chromatography and their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods.Eight compounds were isolated from the ethanolic extract of the roots of Aralia chinensis L.and identified as kaempferol 3 -O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1),apigenin-7-O-t-L-rhamnosidase (2),ethyl caffeate (3),trans-ferulic acid (4),methyl caffeate (5),vanillin (6),apocynol (7),andβ-sitosterol (8).Among these compounds,compounds 1-7 were obtained from this plant for the first time.
