Preparation and electrocatalytic performance of bimetallic Ni-Fe phosphide
Ni-Fe phosphiteelectrocatalyst was prepared by electrodeposition using nickel sulfate, ferrous nitrate,sodi-um hypophosphite and sodium citrate on the substrate supported by nickel foam. The structure and morphology of the catalyst were characterized by SEM test, the distribution of elements on the surface of the sample was measured by EDS spectrometer, and the parameters of oxygen evolution, hydrogen evolution and catalytic activity of the cata-lyst were tested by electrochemistry. The results show that the overpotential of Ni-Fe phosphide is 232 mV at 10 mA/cm2 current density and 162 mV at-10 mA/cm2 current density. The catalytic active area(Cdl)value of Ni-Fe phosphide is 30.7 mF/cm2,which is higher than that of Ni phosphide and Fe phosphide.
